Developmental Rhythmic Activities
Feel the speed and strength of sound, move your body, and connect listening, seeing, and moving.
GROUP THERAPY
While enjoying the sounds and rhythms with their friends, they gain experience interacting with people and the feeling of ``I did it!''.
ABOUT THIS SUPPORT
In Group Developmental Support, small groups engage in activities such as moving to music, playing instruments, waiting for their turn, and listening to the sounds of their peers. Even when it is difficult to communicate using only words, we create a place where it is easy to participate by using sounds and rhythms as common cues. Rather than forcing everyone to fit in with those around them, we work with staff to find ways for each person to participate safely.
WHO IT IS FOR
We do not decide the content of support based solely on the diagnosis name or characteristics. During the facility visit and trial session, we will listen to your child's condition and your family's wishes, and provide information on how to use the facility.
ACTIVITIES
The activity is an example. We will adjust the content and process according to the individual support plan and the situation on the day.
Feel the speed and strength of sound, move your body, and connect listening, seeing, and moving.
Children will be exposed to various instruments and will have the experience of playing together while listening to the sounds of their peers.
Children will check the roles and rules in musical activities and practice thinking and acting on their own.
By combining singing and exercise, we support self-expression, switching your mood, and adjusting your body.
SUPPORT GOALS
We value being able to work with peace of mind without rushing to achieve results, and that it leads to experiences that can be used in daily life.
Participate in activities in a way that works for you, using a clear flow and clear cues.
Increase your communication options by gaining experience in waiting, imitating, adapting, and communicating.
The experience of expressing yourself through sound and movement and being accepted by those around you will give you a small boost of self-confidence.
HOW WE SUPPORT
Share with your family what you are good at, what you are bad at, and what sounds and activities you like.
We will adjust the number of people, roles, instruments, and voices to come up with a format that allows people to participate with peace of mind.
Employees share information about their activities and consider goals that will lead to next support and daily life.
FAQ
Yes. We do not ask you to participate in all activities from the beginning. We will consider ways to participate that suit your child, such as observing, working together with staff, or starting with a short period of time.
It varies depending on the usage situation and support goals. We will inform you about the days of the week and the current group composition during the facility visit/trial session.
