DEVELOPMENTAL PIANO

Developmental Piano (Therapeutic Piano)

Our goal is not just to improve your performance, but also to connect the joy of playing the keyboard to support your child's development.

ABOUT THIS SUPPORT

Let each person's desire to play become the gateway to growth.

Developmental piano lessons have a different purpose than regular piano lessons. The goal is not just to play a song well, but to create multiple experiences that match the child's developmental stage, such as looking at the keyboard, listening to the sounds, moving the fingers, maintaining posture, and predicting the next movement. Start with a favorite sound or short phrase and review small successes together.

WHO IT IS FOR

For Children and Families with These Needs

  • Children who are interested in piano and music and want to increase their experience of focusing on what they like.
  • Children who want to experience hand and finger usage, posture, and left-right coordination through play.
  • Children who want to work on tasks at their own pace and build up a sense of accomplishment and confidence.

We do not decide the content of support based solely on the diagnosis name or characteristics. During the facility visit and trial session, we will listen to your child's condition and your family's wishes, and provide information on how to use the facility.

ACTIVITIES

Main Activities & Support

The activity is an example. We will adjust the content and process according to the individual support plan and the situation on the day.

01

Exploring the keyboard and sounds

Start by finding your favorite sound, and enjoy the cause-and-effect relationships and differences in sounds that occur when you press a button.

02

imitate/take turns

Create an experience of watching, listening, and waiting by imitating the sounds of staff and taking turns one by one.

03

Rhythm and fingertip activity

You can also use bells and small instruments to practice moving your hands and fingers in time with the beat and rhythm.

04

Sharing what was done

We look back together at the sounds we achieved and the time we continued, supporting our motivation to take on the next challenge.
